Royal Palace

Located in the heart of the Ismaili Kasbah, the Royal Palace al Mhancha was built in the early eighteenth century, it is the residence of His Majesty the king of Morocco in Meknes. Based on nearly one hectare, in the form of a rectangle, this palace is surrounded by a rampart, bastioned and crowned with a round road on its southern area. A Mechouar (a large square) is located in front of the east wall of the Palace.
