Lahdim Square

Lahdim Square is a large esplanade, located between the old town and the imperial part of the city. Its name, "place of demolition", was given to it after tons of rubble were stored there, during the reconstruction work of the city. It houses a covered market that comes alive at sunset where storytellers, animal trainers and boatmen create a most exotic atmosphere.
