VEGETABLE AND FISH MARKET
Although these 2 souks are distinct, they are located next to each other, which facilitates their simultaneous visit. They can be found between the mellah (former Jewish area) and the Meknes Museum. As the name says, they sell mainly vegetables, fruits, fish and seafood.
The Souks of the city of Meknes are unusual and picturesque. Everyday objects take on a very special aspect. The prices are very reasonable.
Nejjarine Street and Sebbaghine Street gather most of the souks. Babouches stands stand alongside butchers and primeurs.
On Nejjarine Street, you will find most of the local crafts, which you can bring back from your trip as souvenirs.
Au Souk Sekkakine, vous pourrez acheter des couteaux, théières et autres objets traditionnels qui sauront vous surprendre par leur originalité.
At Souk Bezzazine, you will find all wicker and craft items. You will notice the smell of wicker that emerges from this area and you can find beautiful wicker baskets made by hand.
